Oh, Angelina: Collections and Fraud Division’s Presentation for SB Cards’ 31st Anniversary

As part of the celebration of its 31st anniversary, SB Cards Corporation asked each of its division to produce one music video to showcase on the actual party night which by the way, was successfully held at T.G.I.Friday’s at Glorietta 4. There’s no theme for the videos I supposed judging from what I saw during the get-together, just create one that will amuse every employees or at least, make everyone smirk.

I was privileged to be a part of the people behind the creation of the video of our division, the Collections and Fraud group. I was tasked [I volunteered myself in a way] to do the editing and I was also the one who handled the HD camera — thank you, Ms. Tin Uy — used to capture the elusive dancing prowess of my officemates and bosses.

The concept of the video was based on the famous “Sexballs” portion of the gag show, Bubble Gang as suggested by the ever creative Kenipearl Mesias which also choreographed the dance with enhancements from Sir Noel Calla and Angelina him/herself, Sir Gio Tombado. Instead of the Sexballs on suspenders and short shorts, they replaced it with half-naked guys in jeans with Angry Birds masks — P40.00 lang sa Divisoria ang tumpok sabi ni Ms. Rizaira Viray — which I called as the “Angry Balls” in the video. They danced to the tune of “Anjulina”, Michael V.’s hilarious parody of Lou Bega’s “Angelina” about circumcision.

From left to right: Ruby Saldo [one of the cameras used in this video is her Nokia N8], Chai Viray [she’s the one who bought the Angry Birds masks in DV and she’s also the one who brought the gold wig that Angelina used in this video] and Kenipearl Mesias [she conceptualized, choreographed and directed the video].

Out of all the videos that were showed during the party, we’re proud to say that the one we showed got the most nod and cheers — pwedeng dahil ang ingay lang ng Collections — thanks mostly to Sir Gio. He/she nailed it. Forget the video editing that I [bleep] up, Sir Gio is the man. It also helped that from all the music videos that were showed, we’re one of the few groups that didn’t jump on the bandwagon by not using the Moymoy Palaboy theme or by not using ever-present songs like Super Bass, Moves Like Jagger and other gay happy songs alike.

Anyway, here’s the video or videos — don’t be surprised. The first video is the official one, the one that was showed on the big screen of Friday’s. And as a bonus, I also added the extended version and the backstage pass version. What are those two? Just look at the descriptions below.

Now, enjoy.

Angelina (Official)

Collections and Fraud Division’s official music video for SB Cards’ 31st Year Anniversary.

Angelinas and the Angry Balls (Angelina Extended Version)

Should have been the Collections and Fraud Division’s official music video for SB Cards’ 31st Year Anniversary if not for the boboness of yours truly, Marco Manipon. I forgot to save it on the USB. It’s just as same as the official except for the intro and some transition effects.

Angelina (Backstage Pass)

Deleted scenes, never before seen, original sin. Basically, the behind the scenes montage of the video. Sayang naman yung ibang clippings eh.
